Having your own blog is a big deal 🙂 Building your brand is an even bigger deal.
Sure, it could be just you, but you never know. What if your blog grows so much, that one day you will have contributors to your site?
Wouldn’t it be cool if you can change from this:
To this*?
*(where clickvoyagers put your own logo)
Ok,maybe your logo is cooler than mine but keep reading because…
I will show you how to customize your WordPress login screen, yay!
You need to add a new plugin that will help you do the change.
Login, as usual, go to your Dashboard and go to Plugins. Then go to Add new:
Search on the search bar for Colorlib.
I’m not affiliated with this, but I found it very easy to use.
Click install now, and then Activate.
Search on your plugin lists for the plugin, and click on Settings
You will be transferred to the screen below, and from there click on the Logo options.
As you see, you have many things you can ustomize, but for now, we will focus on the logo. Of course, you can test and experiment with the rest of the options, as well 🙂
Once you are there, scroll down a bit on the left menu and you will see where you can upload your logo.
There is a width and height bar, where you can adjust the logo so that it looks nice and clear.
This is how mine looks like and I’m so happy with it 🙂
So next time you go to your login screen, you will see your own logo, instead of the WordPress logo.
How cool is that?
This also brings me to another thing I wanted to tell you guys, that also has to do with your login screen, or better, your login URL and how you can minimize the login attacks on your WordPress website.
Did you know you can have a different URL, other than the yourdomain.com/wp-login.php ?
That’s right, you can, and I explain it real quickly here.
Feel free to share this with your blogging tribe 🙂
