Elementor is a drag and drop page builder for WordPress
If you don’t want to use the existing WordPress editor, which is called Gutenberg (I don’t :)), and you feel that you can create your own layout, or use the existing layout but you want to have the option of adding elements yourself, then I highly recommend Elementor. It has a free and a premium version but if you don’t want to invest in it just yet, the free version will fulfill your needs. And honestly, especially if you are a blogger, I’m confident that you will be just fine with the free version.
Where do I get Elementor for WordPress?
It is a plugin that you can download for free, from the WordPress plugin page:
and once installed it looks like this (the free version).
The above drag and drop buttons which are included in the free version will help you build a great website and everything is customizable.
You can add an image which you can set as your background, or you can make a Hero section with your website’s title, you can add blocks of texts and blocks of images that you can fully customize, and place them wherever you want on the page.
You can also find ready-made elements like a box with text an image, a video container, showing numbers, progress bars, and even making a slideshow:
I made a short video where I demonstrate the above and also how to add a background image with text on top, how to add a block of text, an image, and how to add basic columns with elements inside. I also demonstrate how you can customize the font size, colours, line height etc, without writing any code.
I don’t speak on the video, I just show you with the cursor, enjoy it 🙂
I hope you found this useful and if you did feel, free to share it with your friends.
If you have any questions let me know in the comments 🙂
